Did you get an invite or an e-vite? There is a party going down in the Governor of Maryland’s skybox luxury suite at M&T Bank Stadium (home of the taxpayer-funded Baltimore Ravens) this Sunday.
Oh. Errrr, sorry, it was a few Sundays ago. Too soon, Ravens fans? Well, at least CM Kristin Mink’s husband now has some downtime. He can attend another political rally with CM Mink in the near future.
After being really curious about who former MD Governor Larry Hogan hosted at the suite in prior years (actual headline, below), The Baltimore Sun now seems silent on who current Governor Wes Moore has been hosting for all-inclusive game-day parties…
…But we can confirm that one MoCo Councilmember, Will Jawando, attended the Baltimore Ravens home divisional playoff game (a win) over the Houston Texans in late January. As a guest of Gov. Moore, of course.
Video and photos posted by the tax-hike obsessed Councilmember to Instagram show him having a swingin’ good time with governor Wes Moore in the covered suite, presumably all food and drink provided (by your tax dollars). Rain? Braving the open-air cold temps? That is for the hoi poloi, the little people.
Remember- this is the same Councilmember who is pushing to raise taxes on working class bartender and restaurant servers across the state of Maryland. He was stymied in Rockville, but is now pushing our own County delegation in Annapolis to go all-in on tax hikes on workers in bars and price hikes on restaurant visitors.
We can also confirm the Councilmember Mink (along with plus one, Mr. Ryan Mink) attended a fancy looking White House shindig this past December — again, thanks to Facebook and Instagram. Here, she got to get a photo with President Joe Biden and post it so that you may admire her “connections” to the seats of power.
Interesting fact: in the three-plus years of Joe Biden’s presidency, prices have risen about 18% for families all across this great land. Wages have not caught up, resulting in most people being poorer today then they were when Joe Biden was just a private citizen driving an old Corvette.
They party, you pay. Increasingly more and more, you pay.
At least it is good to see someone’s having a good time… on your dime.
